Beat Blog Fatigue In 5 Easy Steps

"This is a Guest post from the Profitable Productive Blogging Blog or also known as Cmansmoneypages.blogspot.com As I pointed out in a previous post, I have limited Internet access which in turn limits my time for posting, reading and, just being productive all together. Ironically enough Cman decided to give me some material explaining ways to beat blog fatigue. When I regain full access I will definitely put these tips into affect."

How many times have you been busy with your job, spouse, kids, home duties, hobbies, community obligations or whatever else occupies your daily waking hours and just didn't feel like blogging. Well here are 5 quick tips to help you overcome that blog fatigue.

Post a link list article. Have you read some good articles recently? Put together a list of the best of what you have been reading. This style of post is quick and easy to put together and is also a great way to build relationships with other bloggers. Contact the authors of the articles you are linking to and let them know they have been featured. You never know you just might get some return "linkage."

Read and Cross-link old posts. This is something you should do periodically anyway, but it is also great to do when you are running out of ideas. I have found that through this process I always get new ideas for articles. Take the time to put some links to some of your newer content in older related content. This will also help in finding some other related articles and chances for linking to the older posts.

Recycle an old post. Now if you have read over your old posts and done some cross-linking and still haven't found some new inspiration, then this is a great idea. The key is to pull from posts about 3 months old, and don't just leave it the same way. Re-work it a bit. Add a new picture element, change the title, add some links, update with some recent experiences, but don't just leave it the same.

Give Your Blog a mini makeover. You don't need to change your template or anything drastic. Little tweaks can make a big difference. Change some colors around, add a new widget or plugin. Things like this can help break through the blog boredom. If you feel your blog is looking better it helps motivate you to produce.

Write a review. I know for me that sometimes even when I'm not inspired to write something I can still review a money making program, affiliate program, or another blog. Pick a smaller blog, someone who has commented on your blog, or added you to their technorati faves, someone that is connected to your blog in some way and has their own blog. I'm sure they wouldn't mind a free review. Of course you will need to probably make it at least neutral :) to positive. Don't blast another blog that isn't nice! If you don't have another blog to review write one about an affiliate program you are involved in, or a money making opportunity you have been successful at. Reviews are simply your thoughts and feelings on and impressions of something and so are fairly easy to do even during times of blog fatigue.

There you go! Now go break of your slump and get back into your blogging groove. Do one of these suggestions each day for 5 days and I am sure it will help. My brief absence from making money online

I have been gone for a little while now because I'm just coming home. Things are a little crazy and I don't have regular Internet access right now. I had a few things in the works before all this but did not have the time to finish them. I will return very soon with my regular posting. Until then this blog may seem a little dry but, remember the beauty of making money online is that you don't have to be here to keep making money. I foresee myself being set up and ready to go by the beginning of next month. I'll see everyone around and thanks for stopping by.

Posts Far and Few Between

Trying to blog while in the busiest of conditions can be tough. As of late I have been having trouble getting the chance to post any articles for my blog and most important my readers. It can be hard at times to keep a blog in tip top shape. You need to constantly improve your blog or else it does nothing for you and you end up making no money online. Here are a few struggles I have been having lately and what I could have done to prevent this from happening to me.

1. No Time-Lately I have been very busy at work which leaves with hardly any time to use a computer.

2. Waisting Time-When I finally get a chance to sit down, I usally kill time by reading other blogs.

3. Writers Block-When it come time for me to write something I have trouble getting it out because I'm usally exhausted from the days work.

These are some things I should have done to counter my problems before they came about.

1. Plan Ahead-I should have planned ahead of time. Writing future posts for the time I knew I would be busy.

2. Work for me-I should have been working on my blog instead of browsing the internet when I had some down time.

3.Details-Remember its the little things that count

Basically if I would have planned a little further in advance I wouldn't be in this jam I'm in now. So plan ahead and your posts will not be far and few between.

Having someone to help you is another good idea. Wether it be a friend, spouse, or a internet partner. I wrote a post on this earlier entitled Blogging with Partners. Well I hope all of you can learn from my mistakes and I know many bloggers have this happen to them and it will proboly continue to happen.

Blogging with Partners

I do not work with anyone on my blog but, many people do have partners. I personally think it's a fantastic idea. This gives you two opinions on your posts, blog, and direction. Two heads are better than one. Having someone just to help can cut down on the amount of time you spend online. You could have a girlfriend or spouse just comment on other blogs for you or submit your blog to directories. While he or she works on your promotion and back links you can worry about quality content for you articles. Also a partner can proof read you articles for spelling, grammar or, just any improvements all over. It would be nice to have someone who could also write posts. This could dramatically improve the quality of your blog because you now have two views expressed on your blog and twice as many posts.

Well what about the money? I guess if it was a girlfriend or something you could work something out between the two of you. If it's an Internet partner I would suggest working out all the details beforehand. Some things you might want to discuss is money, ownership and, work. You will probably want to split the profits 50/50 but that could be a problem depending on who believes they have done more. Ownership of the site is another thing. If one wanted to leave, who gets the site? The amount of work should be outlined to. How much is to be expected out of the individuals. These are all things to consider when picking up a full time partner.

All this planning is probably why a lot of people don't blog in teams or with partners. Most blogs will occasionally have guest posts which sometime benefits both blogs if the traffic is right. Having a guest post doesn't make you partners. It's more just like a back link than anything else.
I believe having a blogging partner would be great if you could find someone dedicated and trustworthy. Also they would have to be like minded and headed in the same direction as you. I would like to have a partner to blog with because it would relieve some pressure but it might also add a little. I would be pressured to make posts and make them better as to not let partner down. I think that's a good thing though.

I have been reading his blog, profitable productive blogging, for some time now and honestly never stopped to think what the "C" in cmanlong could stand for. Top Tips to Work From Home

Who hasn’t thought of working from home? We have all had that dream at some time. Usually you just want to make some extra cash with chance to become successful enough to quit your job and work from home all the time or the dream of making it big and being wealthy.

With the maturity of the Internet, building a home based Internet business is becoming a reality for many people. However there is something you should know before you start on your exciting journey to a new life.

I have learned a variety of things on my journey to making the Internet work for me. In the beginning it was hard, just like anything else that is worth having is hard to make work. So I thought I would share some tips that I believe are to the up most importance to making money online.

Get organised.
You are setting up a business, so you really need to be organised. Ideally set aside a room as your office. Stock it with all the items you need. Computer and printer are obvious! However think about stationary and filing. you could use a whiteboard next to your PC which you could use to write important to do’s. Be disciplined.
It’s easy to get side tracked working from home. There are so many other things that attract your attention. Stay focused on you blog or website. I have often found myself spending way to much time browsing the Internet and reading forums. This is not a bad thing, just limit the amount of time your doing it. It’s easy to find a whole day go by and you have done nothing to improve your own site, so stay focused on your business. It’s another good reason for allocating a room as an office. You can shut the door and really focus on your Internet business.

Family and Friends
If you work at home, it’s easy for Family and Friends to think you are available for other things. “As you are at home today, can you pick up the shopping” etc. It can be really frustrating how working from home can be seen as not a “proper” job. Keep to strict business hours and spend the time working on your Internet business. If you waste that time you will just reinforce any prejudices that you are not really doing a proper job. This is especially important if you are also working a job which most people have to do at first. Set aside a couple hours and get done what you need to for your web site.

Getting your website noticed
This takes time When building a home based Internet business you need to accept that getting noticed by the search engines can take months, especially if you are using a new domain. Using Pay per Click can get immediate results but if can be costly if you get it wrong. Don't give up and keep plugging away. You will see result eventually. Most people give up too soon because they thought it was a quick way to get rich. Making money online is not a get rich quick plan. It takes time and patience and it will slowly build into a profitable business.

Learn about keywords
Keywords are king. If you are not using keywords properly on your website then you are in serious trouble. Get keywords right and you will sail ahead of the competition. A well optimised website using the right keywords for your Internet business will reward you time and time again. Be sure to use proper targeted keywords in your website in the hopes of being ranked #1 in Google for relevant content.

Do it yourself Optimisation
There are many companies offering optimisation services. This might be ideal if you really don’t have the time or the inclination. However it can cost you some serious money and it’s not always successful. There are quite a few so called “experts” who are talking a lot of rubbish. Optimising your website really is easy. You can do it yourself and once you’ve learn the tricks you really are the best person to do it. You know your business. You know your customers and so you know what words they are likely to use to find you. Use all the free tools that the Internet provides and you will find your self getting ahead.

Blogging Bandwagons

Is it just me or does it seem like every day or week that everyone is writing about the same thing. Over and Over again. Yea, they reword it or put their own twist on it but it's still the same information. I can understand that most people get their information from other sources therefore it has to be similar in the least but I'm getting tired of visiting ten or so blogs with the same information provided within a 4-7 day periode. Even pro bloggers do this from time to time to fill space. I can understand if there was a issue going around and everybody had diffrent opinions but if the original post was good and you agreed, why rehash the subject. I will just go to the other blog and read it. Ofcourse you can point me in the right direction and give your own two cents but don't do this every day. Than whats the point of visiting your blog. If you want to start making money online than post original content. I know it's hard but it's the best way to earn respect and money. Get off that bandwagon and write something new for me to read. I'll come back to your blog if the content is good and original. I promise.

I'm a Hipocrite

Well, after writing that post yesterday I do nothing all day besides surf the Internet and work of course. I spent hours on the computer doing nothing but reading blogs and posting to forums. Well I guess I did accomplish one thing. I have added an about me section. You can find it here, About Me. When the end of the day came around I felt like a dumb ass. O-well, you can't win them all. In all honesty I should be trying to write as many posts as possible in advance because the next few weeks are going to be extremely busy for me. Hopefully I'll be able to crank out a few in the next couple days. I would love to hear what any of you would like me to write about. Addicted to Blogging

I believe blogging to be very addictive. At first it starts out as something you try once in awhile. Than you Begin to do more and more often. Finally you find yourself compelled to blog everyday. Many blogs begin just to try and make money online. A lot of these blogs fail because they don't get involved in the community of bloggers. With every passing day you get more involved with your own blog and other blogs. You return to blogs day after day looking forward to what is to be said next.

Here are a few reason why I think the blogsphere is so addicting in a good way.
1. Always looking for new ways to improve yourself.
2. Looking forward to hearing others thoughts and ideas.
3. Continuously trying to make your blog better than the day before.
4. The dream of making some serious money online and to work from home.
5. Making new friends over the Internet.

Here are a few reasons why blogging is addictive in a not so good way.
1. Excessive eye strain from staring at a computer
2. Lacking exercise due to excessive reading and blogging.
3. countless hours spent in front of a computer.
4. Carpal tunnel syndrome

Here are a few signs of an addict.
1. your a forum junkie -your on forums all day long constantly posting in stead of myspace.
2. your a comment junkie -you visit one or more blogs posting 20 + comments a day.
3. your a post junkie -you post 2 or more topics per day, everyday.
4. Last and certainly the worst -you read blogs and forums all day and do nothing to improve the value of your own site.

All in all I believe the positives to out way the negatives. Getting a good balance is the way to go. Get into a routine. Set aside a time period each day for blogging which should include everything from reading, writing and, marketing. If this is done for a living than of course there will be more time dedicated to blogging.

My most visited blogs

Before I became a blogger I don't think I ever read a blog and now I read a bunch every day. I wanted to give a quick shout out to all those blogs that I have been reading on a daily basis. Some of you inspire me to blog, some give me help full tips, others are just fun to read. So here we go the top blogs that I read daily and why.

Cmans money pages-This is a blog that I started reading when it was still very new. I watched it as it has blossomed into what it is now. I read this blog because I feel that the author is always a few steps ahead of me and I can learn from it.

A cowboys wife-This is also a blog that I have been reading from the beginning. This is a personal blog about a cowboys wife's day to day life. I enjoy reading her blog because it is the sort of blog I aspire to do but never got around to doing it.

beta blogger for dummies-I refer to this blog often. Using blogspot can sometime be difficult especially for someone like me. It is also amazing to see what can be accomplished using blogger.

Johncow.com-I recently started reading this blog along with the rest of our community. It's funny and different in the same kind of way, if that makes any sense to you. Maybe this shout out will get me in an upcoming batch.

problogger.net-Another blog that I refer to often. Problogger Is probably one of the most helpful web sites I have visited thus far. It is definitely a blog that inspires me to keep blogging and keeps me headed in the right direction.

There are many more blogs that I visit everyday. These blogs are ones that I make a point of visiting. It might be because the content is always updated and fresh or that the blog is just so helpful to me or maybe I just enjoy reading them. For whatever reason these blogs are my go to blogs.

Fixing msplinks for Myspace

Okay I have wrote on this subject before but still some confusion arises. msplinks is not a problem and if you are looking for a hack or fix msplinks than you might be the problem. I totally agree that myspace is a great way to promote your blog or web site if done in the right manner. It is to bad that Tom, the myspace creator, feels that he had to go through such great extent to cut down on spam. It is people who spam the hell out of myspace everyday are the reason it is so difficult for us now. Also people who spam give all of us in this business a bad name and thats why most internet users will just dismiss us now even though we have a legit product, opprotunity or, even information. I wrote some articles on how you can use myspace for your online adventure but don't over do it and don't spam. Even if someone did find ways around msplinks, which I'm sure someone has, Tom will eventually put an end to it if it is abused by everyone. Find the right ways to promote you product or web site and you will do well. If whatever you have is worth looking at than it will promote itself. 90% of the people spamming myspace are all scams. So be part of the solution, make a good product, use, don't abuse myspace.

Footer Ads

FooterAds.com is a relatively new idea. It's not ppc so you don't get paid for ads clicked on your site. Instead you get to place your ads for free determining on the amount you show the ads. One really annoying thing about Footer Ads is that, just like it sounds the ads are placed at the bottom of your screen. None the less I liked the idea but you will notice I don't have them on this site because they subtract value from you site and are annoying. I did put them on other sites that I use for affiliates and stuck them in traffic exchanges. When these pages are viewd I get credits which than get my ad running in other footer ads sending traffic to this site. Just another little tip from me to you, to help you start making extra money online.

Friday the 13th

Well it is Friday the 13th once again. Is it just me or does the 13th seem to fall on a Friday more often now a days. I'm not a superstitious kind of person anyway. I was at work and was wondering what all the big hoopla was about Friday the 13th anyway. I found a some good answers on yahoo. Apparently it had something to do with the nights Templar way back when but I guess a bunch of bad things happen on Fridays throughout history. Just thought I would share. I don't know if it's supposed to be unlucky or something but I wish you all luck in making some money online and have a good weekend.

Some of the little things on your blog do make your blog a better place for your readers. Of course content is the major part of blogging but, what about everything else. Here I will go over a few things that can help your new blog be a better place.

First, Organize the blog. A neat and well organized blog will keep your readers coming back. Make posts easy to find by labeling them. Don't over clutter your page with to many contextual ads or affiliates.
Second, Allow readers the ability to subscribe to you Full RSS feed. This will allow people who read your blog constantly to be aware all the time when you post something new.
Third, Make it as easy as possible for people to interact with you and your blog members. You may allow anonymous posts so readers don't have to log in to post a comment. If your worried about spam you could enable the word verification but that's just as annoying so their are some spam blocking programs out their.
fourth, Entice readers to leave comments. You can disable the no-follow for your comments to allow your readers to gain a back link from your comments section. If you would like to know more about removing the no-follow in blogger just ask. You could also put a top commenter's widget or something of the sort to get participation.
fifth, Join a community. A community such as Mybloglog.com is a great way to track readers and find new blogs to read. Technorati is also a great place for interaction between bloggers.
sixth, keep the lines open. Allow readers to be able to contact you for what ever reason. Put a e-mail address on your page or use formlogix.com to set up a contact me form.
Seventh, One thing that I have yet to do is put a face to my blog. For some blogs especially personal blogs this is important because it developers a relationship with your readers. Some say it could be any face because it's just the idea that it is an actual everyday person writing this blog. I would recommend using your own pic. never know when you might need to update it.

My technorati rankings exploded and my alexa ranking went up as well maybe just because of the extra traffic. Here is a way that you could promote your site using classified ads. This might not be the most legitimate way to promote your web site or blog but, it is effective. Thousands of people scan trough he classifieds everyday looking for whatever it is they may want. Weather is be furniture, cars, or even pets. So you can use these classifieds such as craiglist.com to drive a little traffic your way. Lets say your having a give away on your blog. You could post that in a classified ad and attract unique visitors to your page. What if your promoting an online business. You could put it in the jobs classified section. There are a thousand different ways you could do this with hundreds of different classified web sites everywhere to include craigslist and myspace just to name a couple. I recommend that if you do use classifieds that you have something for them, such as a job or, a prize or, maybe you are selling something. whatever the reason you put an ad in, it could potentially bring you a lot of traffic.
So what do you do?
First sign up with craigslist.org. Than create an e-mail account applying to your product. You will want to write a message and turn the auto vacation responder on. You will than put an ad in craigs list with the reply going to the previously made e-mail address. When people reply to your ad the auto responder will send them a message which will contain a message with a link going to your web site. Bam, you have your traffic. Be creative when doing this. The better you ad is and the better your e-mail response will determine how much traffic you can get. This is something that can be repeated time and time again at no cost to you. This is especially good for affiliates who are trying to sell products. Maybe you would want to link the message directly to the landing page but I recommend writing a good post and filtering traffic through you own web site. well I hope this can help people on there way to making money online.

Chow vs Cow?

Recently I came across a blog trough the viral tags. It's a very new blog, maybe a week or so old. The crazy thing is this blog managed to real in a ton of readers and is shooting up the rankings like a bat out of hell. Well the reason being is that John Cow is a parody on the ever popular john chow's website. He is racking in thousands of visitors that normally read chow's blog. The theme of the blog revolves around cows, hence the name John Cow. I am interested to see where this blog might go. Maybe there will be a face off between Chow and Cow. It would be Cow madness. I enjoy reading his blog because of a few reasons. It is a new blog and therefore very easy to follow. He bashes john chow whenever giving the opportunity, which is very funny. Template Crash !@#$

Well if you were wondering what happened to my site the past few days and why I haven't been posting it is because my template crashed. Word of advice to all, if your making changes to your template make a backup of your code before you do so. Even the smalest of changes can cause a major problem. I tried searching the problem and fixing it but, I could not find it. So I had to scrub my entire template and start over. This was a major headache and for awhile I thought all was lost. I did get lucky and was able to save my information which I than transfered to my new template. Now I have to go trough and tweak everything I had done previosly. Everything is almost back to normal and will be posting once again. Thanks for stopping by and come again.

Using labels to organize blogger

I noticed that many people don't utilize labels in their posts. I didn't either for a long time until I realized that I could use the labels to organize and categorize my blog. All you do is label each post with the most relevant keyword that fits that post. Eventually after posting for awhile you will have a long list of posts that many people will never read unless directed their directly. So you can use these labels by adding something like a navigation bar on the side of your blog. List all the keywords that you have in your labels and use the permalink from the bottom of the post to hyper link that keyword in the navigation bar you created. For an example look at the categories navigation bar on the right side of my blog. Most people just rely on the blog archive to navigate their blog but, I find this way much more user friendly. Use your labels, create a navigation list and your visitors will read more of your blog. An organized blog will keep your visitors coming back and also gives your blog a more professional appeal.

Using Myspace to your advantage

Many people use myspace to promote their bands, websites, products or even blogs. Myspace has started to crack down on Spamers but, there is a easy way around that "Don't Spam". There are a few ways to gain traffic from myspace. You need to get friends. Ask people who you think might be interested in your niche to be your friend. Now myspace doesn't allow most sites to be posted in the comments section of peoples myspace. It will come up as msplinks and redirect to myspace so referring people to your site trough myspace using comments. What you can do is refer people to your myspace blog and from there give a link to your site. In this case you would write a myspace blog about your web site or a particular post and than link back to it. Use this same tactic for bulletins or you can just write you URL in there and hope people copy and paste it but that doesn't work very well. Now you can also send messages to people but be careful to not spam people because they can and will report you and your account will be deactivated. Be personal with people. Talk directly to them and be sure they are interested before hand. You can use programs to recruit a massive amount of friends and also send out comments or messages to everyone but, you need to be careful using this kind of program. If you do use one, use it in moderation and don't keep sending messages day after day. If you follow these simple guidelines you could easily pull in a massive amount of traffic to your web site using multiple myspace accounts. I know I haven’t posted anything about SEO lately so hear it is. A few more essential tips to increase your page rankings on the search engines.
One of the most cost-effective ways to drive traffic to your Web site is to optimize it for search engines. Many of them use automated programs called "crawlers" or "spiders" to create an index of the Web, which they use to determine what sites are most relevant to users' queries. These programs essentially visit Web sites, read the pages' content, and follow any links to other pages, repeating the process on the sites where they end up. By also retrieving information on link destinations and frequency, among other things, the search engines are able to better "understand" Web sites than if they only took site text into account. Therefore, the key to better placement in search results is making sure it is easy for crawlers to gather useful information about your site. Search engines particularly take into account the location and frequency of keywords on your pages in determining your site's relevance. Here are a few specific things you can do to optimize your Web site or blog.

Get yourself a good domain name. Not surprisingly, URLs containing clear keywords generally perform better than those that appear random or are excessively long. And in addition to getting you higher placement in search results, having its own domain name gives your site added credibility. You'll want to make sure the name you choose logically pertains to the subject matter of your site, isn't too long to remember, and isn't easily misspelled. Use keywords that a crawler will understand, and try to avoid numerals or abbreviations.

Choose keyword-rich titles for your pages. The [TITLE]; element that appears in your page headers is often used by search engines as the text for their link to your Web site. (As an example, the title of http://www.amazon.com/gp/browse.html/?node=11091801 is "Amazon.com: Musical Instruments.") When you just use "Home Page," your company name, or something similarly uninformative, you are missing an opportunity to drive traffic to your site, since search engines weight [TITLE] elements heavily when determining the relevance of a page to a user's search. Therefore, try to make your titles easy to understand and rich in the keywords that your customers will be searching for.

Add META elements to your site. Make use of description and keyword properties in your headers' META elements. META name="description" content="[a brief description of your site]" is often used by search engines to determine what your site is about. META name="keywords" content="[a list of relevant keywords]" is used less frequently by search engines, but can also help boost your site's relevance in their eyes. Searchengineoptimising.com can help you with META tags. In writing a description and choosing keywords, think about how customers will be looking for information on your site, and choose specific terms that will attract traffic. You may want to use research tools like Wordtracker to help you in this. Avoid using the same set of keywords on every page of your site, however--they should be tailored to each page's specific content.

Content matters. You will also benefit from providing rich content on your site. It is important that you include at least a few paragraphs of copy that is visible to crawlers and full of keywords, which will enable search engines to better classify your pages. Use the keywords you included in your meta elements, and don't be afraid to use them many times within your copy. But, of course, what you write should make sense and be easy to digest, as readability is vital. You should also display text on your site as text, not as images, which crawlers cannot read. Use tags for pictures you do use, so that crawlers can get some information out of them, and incorporate HTML navigation wherever it is possible, even if this means adding redundant navigation at the bottom of your pages.

Leverage links. Web sites that are linked to from lots of other sites are often deemed more popular and get a higher ranking in search results. However, more important than the number of links is the quality of those links. Contact owners of other Web sites that score highly for key phrases related to your content, and ask them if they will provide a link back to your site. Make sure, too, that the content on your own site is properly linked together. Crawlers will often start with your home page and then follow links from there to other areas of your site. Register your site. Use Google’s webmaster tools and Google Analitics to check on your sites.

Be patient. Above all, remember to be patient! There's no magic bullet for getting the top spot in search engine indexes. If you've spent a lot of time optimizing your Web site and you still aren't seeing results, it may not make sense spending more time tweaking it so it will surface higher. There are other ways for you to drive traffic to your site on which your time would be better spent. For example you can post in forums or use article submitter. If you have a little bet of advertising money you can use adwords but I recommend reading Beating adwords first. Also you could invest in some powerful SEO software such as SEO Elite.

I know many people including myself tend to just read through forum threads without every expressing my own thoughts. Well it is a good way to learn about whatever it is your reading but you don't get the full potential out of the forum. My suggestion to you is too check out a couple forums and find one or two that you really like. Become a member and introduce yourself. From there ask questions, give advice or, even your opinion on the topic at hand. Leave a link back to the place where you obtained your information or write about it in your blog and link back to it. If the forum allows you to, leave your link in your signature. Eventually you will become a true member of the forum and people will respect your opinions and thought. Forum members will begin to look for your old post and look forward to new posts by you. This is another way to gain a massive amount of traffic out of just one forum. You can do this with a couple forums but don't overload yourself and remember to keep updating your blog or web site with new information.

Do you want to gain traffic from forums? Well it's not that hard. First off don't spam the threads. People will just ignore your post and you proboly will not get anything out of it. Spaming is the past, good relavent content is now. Just find a thread pertaining to your web site and leave your opinion or comment, then leave your URL if the forum allows you to do so. The trick to exploding your traffic trough forums is to find hot topics. These are threads that people find intresting and are going to come back to visit time and time again. Find these threads early on because most forum junkies will read the first couple pages and the last couple pages. So if there is 30 pages and your posts are in the middle, you proboly woln't get a lot of readers. posting early on in a hot topic, first 3 pages or so are best, will greatly increase the chanses of many people reading your post over and over again. This could explode your traffic to your site. It doesnt last forever so you have to continusly do this. The best way is to start your own thread that will become floded with readers. How you ask. Well, post something people are passionit about. emotion will influence people to leave a comment, then others are curious about the posting frenzee. Bam, you have your traffic. I can't tell you what to post about or what forum to go to. It all depends on your blog and what it is about. Just make your forum topic something that will make people voice there opinions in that forum. If you follow these simple steps to starting and posting in hot threads you should be well on your way to making money online.

Questions about masking your URL's. Here are the answeres. First off if your sending a very long link in an e-mail you can mask it to make it much smaller. This keeps the URL from breaking in transmission, so the recipent does not have to cut and past your link back togeter.
You can also use URL masking to hide your affiliate ID. Sometimes you don't want potential costumers to know that your an affiliate because they may have a bad opinion about affiliates but could still be intrested in the product. masking the URL prevents people from knowing the final destination and also makes really long links small.

Many people forget to submit their web site to the search engines, either because they forget to or just don't know how. Some on the other hand believe it is better to have your site manually crawled and than indexed based on relevant content in their blog or web site. I on the other hand prefer so submit my sites so the search engines. Remember the main search engines like Google, yahoo, and MSN. Google is very easy to submit a site. just go to Google webmaster tools and submit you site. Whether the blogger would have included content in his/her blog about the product or service without gift or payment, the fact is the blogger is receiving payment for certain content.

By disclosing the purpose of a blog, bloggers are letting readers know more about the information they'll be reviewing. Bloggers retain the freedom to write original content, as well as select which advertisers they will represent in exchange for gifts or money. Any ethical concerns will remain where they've always been - on the individual level. eBay Bans Affiliates from Using Paid-Search Campaigns

eBay is increasing the payout to members of its Affiliate Program effective June 1, 2007, but is disallowing paid-search traffic purchased from Google, Yahoo and MSN for its US members. eBay's Affiliate Program allows third-parties to earn revenue for driving bidders and buyers to eBay listings.

Some affiliates generate traffic to eBay through advertising, but as of June 1st, eBay will no longer compensate affiliates for "paid search traffic purchased from Google.com, Yahoo.com, MSN.com, nor from any of their content networks, such as Google AdSense, Yahoo! Publisher Network, and MSN ContentAds, if it is linked directly to the eBay.com, eBay Express, or eBay Store domains."

One affiliate said the change may have been prompted by Google's decision to limit the number of eBay affiliate ads per search result page to one.

It's also possible eBay may have felt that affiliates purchasing keywords on search engines were driving up the cost of the ads, which it also purchases from search engines. In addition to higher keyword ad costs, eBay then had to pay out affiliate revenue to these "advertising competitors." However, it's not known how significant the effect of eBay's affiliates has been on Google's keyword pricing. An affiliate said it was eBay that increased the cost of keywords through its bidding practices starting about a year ago.

eBay affiliates have run into problems with Google in the past. In an incident AuctionBytes first reported that was later profiled in John Battelle's book, "The Search," an eBay affiliate had created doorway pages that converted links on Google search results to eBay search results using cloaking techniques, which are banned by Google (http://www.auctionbytes.com/cab/abn/y03/m10/i24/s00).

As for news of eBay's pending changes, some affiliates complained on discussion boards about the new ban on paid-search campaigns, others were pleased and said they would earn much higher revenue through the higher payout rates.

eBay is increasing the referral fee for a new active confirmed registered user (ACRU) from $12 to $25 in the first tier (1 - 49 ACRUs). eBay created a new top tier of 30,000+ ACRUs with a rate of $35 per ACRU; formerly the top tier was 3000+ ACRUs with a rate of $22 per ACRU. The revenue share also increases from 40 - 65 percent of total eBay revenue generated, to 50 - 75 percent of total eBay revenue generated.

Commission Junction administers eBay's Affiliate Program. eBay changed the program in March so sellers could earn affiliate revenue on bids placed on their own items; they still may not put affiliate links on eBay pages, but they may include links on their websites or blogs.

It also gives the reader an idea of who is writing even though it might not be a picture of you. 1) Content - Regular, frequent and high quality content produced by people with knowledge in the field, or people that you can trust to do their homework before jumping headfirst into writing it. This is crucial both at the search engine algo level and the PPC campaign design level. And its not just a fresh article once a month. If you examine your log files you will see how often the SERP’s comeback to visit. Once you are in good with them, they hit your site 1-3+ times a day. It will only do this if it sees fresh content, via your navigation. There is a point at which the bots will and won’t come back and crawl. They won’t if they don’t see fresh content. They will come back to your index (homepage) to find the fresh content, if they don’t find it they will leave. If they do find fresh content they will continue to navigate throughout your site via the ‘proper’ navigation mentioned in this list below. Fresh content throughout your entire site is costly and time-consuming, but will separate you and elevate you from the rest.

2) Inbound links to your site from relevant and trusted sites – Links from trusted sites; links from pages with a higher PR(4+) and less than 50 outbound links; links from pages with a lower PR and less than 10-25 outbound links (Keyword-rich anchor text as well). Preferably forums and blogs (or Viral Marketing) are some of the strongest referrers.

This needs to be a permanent, ongoing project, and the links should be in place for at least 12-18 months for optimal effect. Getting 50 or 1000 this month, then dropping to just a few next month is a huge red flag for all theSE’s. A steady link building scheme is required to earn top rankings. This means no link farm’s. Let me quickly explain about link farms and the way that the SE's see them. If you are actively and voluntarily participating in a linking scheme you are trying to manipulate their results. They value natural linking in their algorithms highly so they do not look link farms kindly now, or anytime in the future. It is one of the possible methods they have to value a website. This is why you hear so many of the pros say "content is king". One way or the other you need to attract traffic natuarally or the least make it look like you have.

3) Individual Title and Descriptions - The argument is alive and well, and continuing as it has and will for several years. Title tags are how the SE’s identify the relevancy of your page (compared to the end-users search query), not just in Organic ranking but in Paid Placement as well. Descriptions are how (organically) the SE’s place a relevancy rating on your page.

4) Site Architecture/Navigation – This includes menus, all the way to how each section on a site’s pages are interlinked with each other.

5) Keyword Terminology - In your content, use 2 or 3 word keyword phrases that are likely to be searched for by users. Don’t over-do-it, but be sure everything is in line and included - Keyword Title; Keyword phrase in description (1st line); Internal navigation keyword links; Fresh keyword rich content.

6) Universal XML Sitemaps - Providing an XML sitemap is one of the easiest things you can do to help search engines traverse your site. Google, Yahoo and MSN have all adopted this “standardized” tool. Having a sitemap and then submitting it through WEBMASTER Central will tell you not only when the crawl (usually 1-2 days) is complete, but also if there are any errors that the bots found.

7) Rich Media – Or concentrating on utilising video, image and audio search. Google is and I believe Yahoo and MSN will be offering big incentives to move into these areas, provided you can utilize this according to your current ad structure, demographics and product or service. Flash builders are a dime-a-dozen. Utilize them to create interactive ads.

8) Web 2.0 - Utilising blogs and forums more to improve search such as www.flickr.com , www.myspace.com , www.technorati.com, www.simpy.com, and others. Also put these “public bookmarks” buttons (AddMe to Google) in your site and your articles.

9) Mobile Web - Google, Yahoo and MSN mobile are nearing and making your site accessible to all mobile web browsers is increasingly important. Remember when Firefox and Opera came out and everything didn’t work or look right? (kinda like today on a much smaller scale). That’s all there is to becoming mobile compliant.

10) Content Relevancy - ensuring everything is neat and relevant across a site. Irrelevant links and content could be detrimental. Map your entire site in a hand-written tree and link them accordingly. Then use this to create a sitemap, and add a link to it to your homepage, and/or your navigation.

11) Constant Monitoring of Paid and Organic Analytical Information - Re-evaluation and improvements based on user stats and new industry changes. Having an expert in this field is vital. (e.g. If you have a PPC account with a few thousand keywords that are working for you that is proving successful, great job. If you want to double the traffic whilst cutting your costs in half, then you’ll need an expert to know what these analytics mean)

12) Become a More Trusted Site – Links are great but links from trusted sites are KING. If you need to work 10 times as long writing articles, creating Charitable Ebay auctions, endorsing a football team or a fraternity, do whatever you have to do to get links such as from a .edu or .gov. This will almost instantly boost your trust and especially your organic rankings. Other potential trust issues include GeoTrust and HackerSafe certifications or even going to a secure server.

A Word About Website Popularity - Yes, this is measured by all the search engines, and always has been. (Remember when you open your Google PPC account and it asked you about providing behaviorally statistical information?) Whether you use analytical and tracking tools or not, all the SE’s do. This is part of the method they used to use before the more advanced algorithms of today. Unfortunately, you can’t directly control this, but with the rest of these tips you can definitely improve it.

I am relatively new to this, but in the short time that I have been doing this I have made a profit. It does take time and work. I never thought that I could make money online this way. It just never dawned on me that people do this. I am not the best when it comes to HTML or Traffic but I'm picking it up little by little as I go along. I think anyone is capable of doing this. If we work together, it will be that much easier to make a profit.

Well if you have been wondering who I am than here it is.
My name is James Stoudnour. What? I know, It's hard to say. That's why Everyone refers to me as Stud because in the military we don't use first names. So a long time ago someone said hey I'm just going to call you Stud and it's been with me ever sense. Yup I'm in the military too. I have been serving in the Navy Seabees for around 5 whole years now. I have been all over the world including Iraq. Yes the Navy is in Iraq too. I have a pic to the right. Belive it or not, This is the best one I could come up with for now. The insignias are blacked out due to some military sop which most due not follow. In no way, shape or form am I speaking on behalf of the United States Military.

So I have been blogging for many moons. Each night being a different moon. Before I started blogging I knew nothing of this entire community of bloggers. Surprised are you. Well believe it or not their are millions of people out there that have no idea about this community. Surprising considering how many blogs are out their right now. Well, anyway I started this site a little while back just as a little side project. To better under stand the ways of blogging. I have sense became very involved if not addicted to the blogsphere.

2) Start writing posts in your blog with relevant content and remember blogs are personal so don't be afraid to put your own spin on it. That's what will make your blog popular.

3)Monetise your site with Google AdSense, Bidvertiser and/or Adbrite. These are ppc ads, meaning when someone clicks on them you will receive money. Other ways to make money include affiliates.

You can sell products on your site with Clickbank, Roi Rocket, AuctionAds and payloadz. Their are many affiliate programs out there but these are some that I have made money with. You need to create an account with these programs and get a code to put on your website. When someone completes an offer you will get paid a percentage.

4) Promote you site by visiting forums related to your topic and posting a relevant comment and a link back to your blog. You can also visit other blogs and comment and advertise. Make friends on the Internet. People are like sheep and follow the herd so the more readers and friends you have the more you will get.

5) Optimise your site for search engines. Use key words so that when people search for a term your page will come up on Google. Get other sites and blogs to link to you because this will increase your page rank and will in turn make you more money.

6) Once your site becomes more established you can use thing such as text-link-ads to sell ad space on your site. You can sell ad space your self using pay pal if you want. See my advertisement page.
